All proceeds will go towards the maintenance of the trail. ===== May 2010 - Northwick Manor Heritage Trail now open! ===== The project co-ordinators are delighted to announce that the Northwick Manor Heritage Trail is now open! The trail was launched on Saturday May 1st with a grand May Day festival event, at The Slip, Old Northwick Lane, with entertainment from Gaunt's Retinue and Combrogi Mercia (Medieval Re-enactors) and Richard Coombs, World Famous Punch & Judy puppeteer. There were displays of research that has taken place over the last 2 years inside a marquee and refreshments for all. At 2.30pm, Professor Mick Aston from Channel 4's Time Team, joined us to cut the ribbon and launch the trail. The weather held for us and local people were able to claim their free project booklet, 'Northwick and Bevere - By residents past and present', featuring photographs of local scenes and memories of life in and around the area. The launch of the trail draws to a close two years of events, talks, workshops and research inspired by the historic and natural landscape of Northwick and Bevere, but we hope that local people will continue to be inspired by their surroundings and perhaps now know a little more about its hidden history. Thank you to everyone who has got involved with the project and helped make it so special! ==== Archived news items ==== Early 2010 April-December 2009 Early 2009 2008 This project has now drawn to close but if you would like to find out more, please contact Sheena Payne-Lunn on 01905 721133, or email archaeology@worcester.gov.uk.
